Cactus and Blue Druzy Quartz with Agatized Coral 4 1/4" x 4" x 3" #105

This is a heavy softball size specimen that is blue and cream Agatized Coral with several outbursts quartz and some blue druzy quartz.

Agatized corals are fossils formed when silica from groundwater replaces ancient buried corals. They consist of void fossils that have been filled with various forms of quartz.

This piece was found in northeastern Arizona by us and was formed about 30 million years ago when the oceans receded from the area.

The approximate size is 4 1/4" x 4" x 3" and its weight is 1lb 15ozs.
