Selenite Pseudomorph after Glauberite Specimen #202

This is a rare and beautiful specimen from Northern Arizona. Glauberite forms in clay deposits which allows the crystal to grow without interference from attached matter, so crystals can be perfect on all sides. Many glauberites are unstable minerals that are usually taken over by another mineral and the end result is a Pseudomorph. It essentially "replaces" it chemically while maintaining the original crystal form. In this case it is the Selenite that has replaced the Glauberite.

It's size is approximately 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 2" and it weighs 28 grams.

Glauberite is associated with enhancing clarity of thought, boosting personal power and self-confidence, promoting decision-making skills and grounding intentions to manifest in the physical realm.
